Question 1

What are the keychains made of?

Accepted Answer

PLA bioplastic — a plant-based polymer — printed in our Berlin studio, then fitted with a nickel-plated metal split ring. Approx. 45 mm across and about 3 mm thick, so they stay light on your keys.

Question 2

Will mine look exactly like the photo?

Accepted Answer

Close, never identical. Every piece is 3D printed one at a time by hand, so colours can shift a little and layer lines wander. Consider yours a limited edition of exactly one.

Question 3

How do I look after it?

Accepted Answer

Wipe it with a damp cloth and keep it out of high heat — above about 50 °C (a car dashboard in summer, a hot windowsill) PLA can soften and bend. That’s the whole care routine.

Question 4

Is it a toy?

Accepted Answer

No. It’s a small design object with a metal ring. Not suitable for children under 14.

Question 5

What’s the After Dark line?

Accepted Answer

Our bolder collection — the pieces that don’t explain themselves. It’s in the shop like everything else, so if you know, you know.

Question 6

How much is a keychain?

Accepted Answer

Every single keychain is €12. Any three together are €30 with the Pick 3 bundle — that’s the cheapest way to carry a whole set of positions.

Question 7

Is VAT added?

Accepted Answer

No. KEYNK sells as a Kleinunternehmer under §19 UStG, so the price you see is the price you pay, with shipping added at checkout.

Question 8

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Secure card checkout in euros, handled by our payment provider. Apple Pay, Google Pay and the usual cards all work; the total is shown before you confirm.

Question 9

Do you do gift orders or bulk runs?

Accepted Answer

Yes — write to hello@keynk.com with the count and the deadline and we’ll tell you what’s possible.

Question 10

Where do you ship from and to?

Accepted Answer

Everything leaves Berlin with DHL, tracked. We ship to Germany and to the rest of the EU: Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Denmark, Poland, Czechia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Sweden and Finland.

Question 11

What does shipping cost?

Accepted Answer

Germany €3.90, delivered in 2–4 working days. Everywhere else in the EU €7.90, 3–7 working days. Orders from €30 ship free — the Pick 3 bundle already qualifies.

Question 12

How fast is it prepared?

Accepted Answer

Made in small runs, so orders are packed and handed to DHL within 2–3 working days. You’ll get a tracking code by email the moment it’s on its way.

Question 13

Can you ship outside the EU?

Accepted Answer

Not yet — checkout only accepts EU delivery addresses. If you’re somewhere else and really want one, email hello@keynk.com and we’ll see what we can sort out.

Question 14

Do I need an account to buy?

Accepted Answer

No — you can check out as a guest. An account is free and lets you follow the order, see everything you’ve bought and get the DHL tracking code in one place.

Question 15

I bought as a guest. Will my order show up in my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if the account uses the same email you bought with — orders are matched automatically by email address.

Question 16

Can I send something back?

Accepted Answer

You have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason, as long as the piece is unworn and unused. Write to hello@keynk.com before sending anything back; return postage is on you, and damaged arrivals are always put right — just send a photo and your order number.

Question 17

How do I track my order?

Accepted Answer

Open your account and you’ll see every order with its status and the DHL tracking code once it ships. The confirmation email has the same link.

Question 18

What does the Hanky Code mean?

Accepted Answer

It’s the old queer language of coloured handkerchiefs in a back pocket — left for one role, right for another. We wrote an editorial guide and built a decoder so you can read it properly.

Question 19

Are the product colours secret signals?

Accepted Answer

Not really. Our colours are ours — the Hanky Code pages explain the actual history, and nothing in the shop is a code you have to pass.

Question 20

Can I design my own keychain?

Accepted Answer

Tell us the idea in the create page and you’ll get a concept image back the same day, then send it as a quote request. Custom runs are made case by case — small, printed in Berlin, and priced per piece.

Question 21

I have an idea for a collaboration.

Accepted Answer

Perfect. hello@keynk.com — the more specific, the better.
